Postdoctor for Advanced Image Reconstruction

Your Responsibilities:
- You apply your detailed knowledge on biomedical science to research and develop new imaging equipment for diagnosing stroke. The research should lead to new products for use by medical staff in hospitals.
- You work together in a multidisciplinary team consisting of people from Philips Research Shanghai and from Philips Research laboratories in Europe. The team is developing new tomography techniques for diagnosing stroke. Within the team, you work on advanced image reconstruction solutions using numerical field calculation, finite element methods (FEM) and inverse problem solving.
- You demonstrate your solutions in simulations and in product prototypes, in collaboration with hardware people. You create patent proposals to protect your ideas for Philips.
- The vacancy concerns a post-doc position for the duration of 2 years.
Your Profile:
- Excellent research experience in the field of numerical electromagnetic field computation or inverse problem solving, as demonstrated by having obtained a PhD degree. The PhD degree should be supported by publications in renowned international journals.
- Background in the field of electrical & electronic engineering or biomedical engineering or physics or mathematics.
- Working knowledge of image processing, reconstruction and biomedical engineering is a plus.
- Experience with commercial electromagnetic computation software is a plus.
- Drive, entrepreneurial behaviour, result oriented and quality driven.
- Excellent communication skills.
- English language skills to at least CET level 6. 查看详细
