Product Engineer

Responsibilities:
1. CAD Design:
- Prepare 3D models & 2D engineering drawings of halfshaft assemblies and components
- Correct and revise drawings as directed

2. Application Engineering
- Collect, analyze and understand customer requests
- Provide design proposal of halfshaft
- Execute Delphi Product Development Process (PDP) assignments on schedule
- Follow Internal Control (IC) procedures.
- Maintain and update Product engineering documents, such as Engineering Bill-of-Material (EBOM), product drawings and Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Managing engineering changes by following change management (CMII) process.
- Lead prototype builds and support off-tool sample builds.

3. Program Management: managing the program to meet the technical, timing, cost and quality targets defined both externally and internally
- Provide product engineering expertise to support supplier development, and manufacturing quality analysis
- Lead product problem solving and root-cause analysis
- Support project cost and timing estimations
- Support continuous Cost Improvement Process (CIP).
- Evaluate customer requirements for product specification and function.

4. Support new business pursuit activities
5. Accept other job responsibilities as required by PE Supervisor.
6. Maintain safety and good housekeeping

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or above in automotive/engineering/mechanics is required
2. Over 4 years' working experience in automotive industry as an engineer
3. Excellent English and Chinese language skills, verbal and written
4. Highly motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Initiative to establish good relationships with the Customer engineering team to ensure that solutions to problems can be resolved
6. Able to maintain a professional presence and establish good relations with a diverse group of people
7. Demonstrated knowledge of assigned Steering products, like halfshaft etc.
8. Able to interpret and analyze information quickly and effectively
9. Skilled in problem solving and root cause analysis.
10. Able to skilfully read blueprints, including a good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
11. Able to understand and apply design standards and tools, such as PDP, DFMEA and SPC
12. CAD experience in UG, Catia, and AutoCAD is mandatory
