EID Intern- Chemical Engineering

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work closely with research scientists and engineers from multidisciplinary teams
* Apply unit operation design, process modeling & optimization, system integration, as well as cost trade-offs to develop process technologies such as electrochemical energy storage system, electrochemical separation system, wastewater treatment systems or water desalination processes
* Flexible among programs ranging from long-term and exploratory research to applied research & development to serve many GE businesses

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
* PhD/MS in Chemical Engineering/Electrochemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering, experiences in water processing engineering is a plus
* Industrial R&D experiences is preferred
* Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional development team
* Self-starter, independent thinker, proactive problem solver
* Excellent ability to consider overall problem, identify opportunities and implement major changes
* Motivated by quality, cost and speed
