Testing Manager

Job Title: ARM MCU Senior Testing Leader/Manager

Summary: The primary objective of this role is to take the lead and to perform the testing over ARM MCU team deliveries, including software packages, software examples, demos, evaluation kits, etc.
Potentially this position is to set up and manage a group of testing engineers to fulfil the growing requirements for testing and system level quality assurance. This position will be based in Shanghai and will work in close cooperation with the product application team located in France.

Job Description

Define the test plan based on design specification. The targets of testing can be software packages, software examples, software demos for evaluation kits, porting for operating systems (WinCE, Linux, .Net Framework, Android, etc.), evaluation kit as a system (hardware,software, accessories, documentation, et.) and so on. Testing covers functionality verification,performance evaluation, reliability and robustness, industry standards compliance, etc.
Develop and set up testing platforms, including implementation of new tools, development ofnew testing methodologies.
Perform the testing according to the test plan and record the results. Report bugs and issues and help design teams to duplicate the bugs and issues.
Maintain the database and records of bugs and issues; identify and report the trends and patterns; and therefore help management to address issues and improve overall performance.
Follow up with development projects and prioritize the testing tasks.
Communicate with the applications team in France for defining the plans, tasks and objectives,and for sharing achievements and issues.
Coach and guide new testing engineers, interns and part-times when needed.


Requirements:

Rich experience and proven capability in embedded system testing, including setting up test plans and platforms, performing the tests and recording/tracking bugs and issues.
Good knowledge of embedded system hardware and software; good knowledge of embedded system MCU cores, interfaces and industry standards of USB, Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, USART,GPIO, ADC, PWM, and so on.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with multi-levels and various teams, locally and remotely.
Must be self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and in multi-task environment.
Preferred industry experience in semiconductors.
Experience of setting up new testing platforms, testing methodologies and approaches.
Fluent with MS Office and good at technical writing (in English).
English fluent – conversation, reading and writing.
Minimum 6-year experience in embedded system testing. Working experience in MNCs of
semiconductors industry is preferred. Testing group leader experience is preferred.
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or other
relevant engineering fields.
