Role Summary/Purpose
Essential Responsibilities
"Support all aspects of IEC MV Equipment system engineering including competitive analysis, Quality Function Deployment (QFD's), Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) and reliability scorecards, engineering test procedures (ETP's), technical specifications, functional block diagrams (FBD), FMEA's, SCR, and PCTO project scoping. Develop MV Equipment product requirements based on product specifications and document correctly. Support the system engineer of equipment to determine product costs, product performance, quality, reliability, serviceability, sub-system modularity etc. Support to develop and maintain the specs that are consumer focused and Six Sigma driven. Support the system engineer in required program review / T-reviews. Retain IEC MV Equipment product line expertise. Support upfront risk assessment on programs and T-review sign-offs."
Qualifications/Requirements
"BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. 2+ yrs MV product development experience. Demonstrated written and verbal English communication skills. Demonstrated basic project management skills. Significant experience in design and/or development, test experience and knowledge. Demonstrated ability in analysis, testing, and problem solving. Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma, Design for Reliability, and New Product Introduction process. "

"Previous experience with MV switchgear and MV circuit breakers. MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Edison Engineering Develop Program graduate. DFSS Six Sigma Greenbelt certified. "
