Are you a creative problem solver with strong analytical skills who likes a challenge? Do you also have experience as a fraud/criminal investigator? We're looking for a strong addition to our financial fraud investigations team in the Greater China Region. If you also have strong written and verbal communication skills and a passion for results, we'd like to talk to you. The Financial Integrity Unit is responsible for reducing financial fraud and abuse losses by efficiently and effectively detecting, investigating, preventing, analyzing, reporting and recovering assets, and, as appropriate, presenting cases for prosecution, developing and helping implement business solutions for process improvements, identifying and assessing financial risks, and recommending stronger internal controls.

This position is based in Beijing, China and will be part of a worldwide team of fraud investigators and forensic accountants. This position will be responsible for fraud detection and prevention activities in Microsoft's Greater China Region (GCR) including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The position will report to a Group Manager based in Singapore and will be a key member of the worldwide Financial Integrity Unit. Although the position will primarily focus on investigations in GCR, the position may also assist the other Financial Integrity Unit investigators based worldwide as necessary.

The successful candidate will initiate, develop and bring to successful conclusion high-level financial fraud investigations; initiate and maintain communications with senior management, legal counsel, key business partners, internal and external stakeholders where appropriate; be a team player; provide guidance and support to less experienced investigators and analysts; identify and use appropriate investigative technologies and processes to achieve maximum efficiencies and effectiveness; develop and participate in education and awareness activities as part of the fraud and abuse prevention program; and liaise with stakeholders and business units to develop and maintain partnerships, and to gather knowledge that could be used to improve processes and build business solutions. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate executive maturity. Responsibilities include reducing fraud and abuse losses to Microsoft by performing financial fraud, integrity and compliance activities (including detection, investigation, prevention, recovery, and data analysis).

Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years of investigative, auditing or equivalent experience conducting, leading and supervising complex financial fraud investigations in an organization providing audit, internal auditing, finance, legal, or law enforcement services
- BA in Business, Accounting, Forensics, Legal, or other related discipline
- Proven knowledge and skills in conducting complex fraud investigations
- Strong organization, presentation, communication, writing and interpersonal skills are required
- Outstanding analytical abilities; a demonstrated ability to work independently and complete cases/projects in a timely manner in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required
- 24/7 on-call availability; and able to work extended hours and travel within GCR and internationally to complete investigations
- Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality
- The selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a background check

Preferred requirements:
- Advanced degree in Business, Accounting, Forensics, Legal, or other related discipline
- Certification such as CPA or equivalent, CFE, or JD
- Experience conducting, leading and supervising investigations in GCR
- Experience in developing and implementing fraud detection and prevention strategy, root cause analysis and recovery efforts
- A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast changing environment
- Proficiency in the Microsoft family of products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc)
- Familiarity and experience working in a forensic team that has used fraud detection technologies and data analysis tools.
