Job responsibilities:
- ass='inurl_key'>Tax advisory and planning related to various Business Groups in PRC, including VAT, business tax, individual income tax, corporate income tax, etc
- Coordinate and support on tax compliance issues related to Beijing headquarter and branch/rep. offices throughout China;
- Advise the responsible finance teams within each location on tax compliance requirements and help to build up control process to reduce tax compliance risks;
- Coordinate and drive various tax projects, such as tax exemption application, High-tech Enterprise Status Application, transfer pricing, etc.
- Provide advice/support on tax issues related to the set-up of new joint ventures, representative offices and branch offices in China and manage relevant tax compliance issues
- Provide advice/support on tax issues related to China outsourcing projects, including permanent establishment risk management
- Provide advice/support on tax issues related to various HR programs
- Monitor direct and indirect tax development and strategize the impact on Microsoft businesses.
- Developed relationship and interact with tax authorities in different provinces and cities, build up industry tax experts as appropriate.

Requirements:
- The person will have a strong knowledge of PRC tax laws and regulations as they apply to multinational corporations with a minimum 10 or more years of tax related experience, preferably at a Big 4 CPA firm and/or a multinational corporation in PRC. Preference may be given to a candidate with an advanced degree in taxation or law, or hold a professional degree such as CPA or Register Tax Agent.
