Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development, implementation, maintenance of laboratory safety programs, policies, procedures.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, use, disposal of chemicals, any hazardous nonhazardous material according to Company policy local regulatory requirements.
• Conduct laboratory risk assessments implement effective risk controls.
• Ensure compliance with Chinese laws, standards, corporate HSE requirements.
• Develop deliver laboratory safety training programs.
• Complete the HSE related communications.
• Lead investigation of lab incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions.
• Implement the contractmanagement safety
• Conduct routine HSE related work, including waste management, environmental monitoring industrial hygiene monitoring, etc.
• Maintain laboratory emergency response plans coordinate emergency drills.
• Plan conduct laboratory safety inspections internal audits.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, Facilities, external service providers.
• Serve as the laboratory safety subject matter expert faudits inspections.
• Cooperate with other team work.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s relevant degree above in Engineer associated, Environmental Health & Safety, related field.
• Professional safety certifications are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory hazards, HSE management, risk assessment.
• Familiarity with Chinese HSE regulations ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Strong communication, leadership, influencing skills.
Experience
• Experience in R&D, electronics, engineering, life sciences Safety & Environments preferred.
• Experience in multinational regulated environments is an advantage.
