This position is responsible Fsite level promotion, implementation, maintenance of EHSS systems, programs, initiatives to support Tenneco’s conformance with applicable EHSS legal other requirements to minimize EHS legal risks liabilities. The position may be based in China/APAC reports directly to the Exe. DirectEHS&S APAC of the company.
Essential Duties Responsibilities
61 Coordinate the consistent implementation of Tenneco’s EHS policy, procedures, standards guidance documents, programs, initiatives, including management of related EHS SharePoint site, EHS Management System, other enterprise systems that ensures communication to the global EHS team.
61 Analyze EHS legal obligations risks develop initiatives action plans to address those obligations risks, including but not limited to environmental permits, submission of required reports, maintenance of data are properly managed by sites in the region.
61 Evaluate assess the internal EHS incident reporting process/system including participating in root cause investigation (in person as needed), development of corrective preventive action plans, communication of lessons learned usage of electronic incident reporting tool.
61 Actively participate in Incident/Injury case management including review approval of information sent with 3rd party Workman’s Compensation/Injury Management claims.
61 Identify, monitor, track, drive report leading lagging EHSS metrics KPIs metrics to ensure site level engagement transparent communication.
61 Participate in support corporate EHS audit program other internal assessment measures fall applicable Tenneco locations.
61 Work with Global EHS, legal counsel operations teams to negotiate resolve government agency notices of violation, claims penalties.
61 Collaborate with all Regional Managers, Directors Global EHS to ensure communication of information on EHS best practices, lessons learned, other success stories.
61 Manage active site investigations remediation projects in coordination with Corporate Environmental Remediation Team, including management of environmental consultants outside legal counsel, negotiations with governmental agencies.
61 Coordinate the collection submission of the company’s energy use, greenhouse gas emissions water use initiatives.
61 Develop present site-level EHS trainings in line with EHS training matrix/deployment plan(s) covering both legal Tenneco EHS requirements.
61 Facilitates process provides technical administrative services such as industrial hygiene sampling, ergonomic evaluations to ensure compliance with EHS regulations Tenneco requirements. Specific attention is needed to evaluate ensure compliance with local EHS requirements.
61 Ensure environmental permits, submission of required reports, maintenance of data are properly managed by sites in the region.
61 Supports emergency response actions dealing with the environment, employees, the community.
61 Assures that Tenneco EHS Directives/Documentation are available translated local languages as appropriate.
Education: Minimum of a four (4) year degree (Bachelof Science) in Occupational Health and/Safety, Industrial Hygiene, environmental discipline equivalent, engineering another relevant field desired. Relevant advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with an emphasis in environmental, health safety program management, including at least 2 years of EHS oversite of multi-site manufacturing operations.

61 Demonstrated technical proficiency ability to manage complex environmental site investigation remediation projects.
61 Extensive background in hazard identification, risk assessment, accident investigation development of corrective actions / risk reduction measures.
61 Ability to serve as a subject matter expert in one of the EHS functional disciplines (Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering/Management, Safety, EHS Systems).
61 Understanding of manufacturing technologies processes.
