Born in March 2005, Fiat Powertrain Technologies is the Fiat Group Company including all the Powertrain activities previously carried on in:
-Fiat Group Automobiles (Fiat Powertrain)
-Iveco (Iveco Motors)
-Fiat Research Center and Elasis

With its annual output of around 3.1 million engines and 2.5 million transmissions and axels, 20,000 employees, 16 plants and 11 research centres in 9 countries, FPT is one of the most significant players in the powertrain sector on a worldwide basis. Furthermore, a network of dealers and service centers ensures the presence of our brand and products in over 100 countries.

Almost 3,000 highly skilled engineers are dedicated to the development and engineering of innovative technologies.

The quality and reliability of this great effort are confirmed by more than 40 patents filed each year.

Thanks to an extremely wide range of products and technologies including:
-engines (with a power from 20 up to 1020 hp and displacements from 1,000 to 20,100 cc)
-transmissions (covering from 145 to 950 Nm)
and applications:
-automotive (cars, commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, special vehicles)
-industrial (construction equipment, agricultural machinery and stationary applications)
-marine (pleasure and professional applications)
-power generation (generating sets)

Since entering China in 2007, FPT has already had one headquarters, one trade company, two joint ventures and one R&D facility in Jiading of Shanghai- the first of its kind in Asia.
