The Environmental Health Safety Leader is responsible fdeveloping a strong safety culture an effective, efficient compliant safety process to ensure the plant environmental, health safety. The EHS Leader will lead from a foundation of safety be guided by the Owens Corning’s Safety Stand.

As a key member of the Plant NLT, this individual is must be capable of modeling pure environmental safety leadership in the development, implementation evaluation of critical processes, programs, training procedures to achieve plant goals, objectives continuous improvement with an unwavering focus on environmental health safety.
The position reports to: Plant Leader
Responsibilities
1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.
• Ability to leverage a strong understanding of both technical humanganizational issues to transform plant safety environmental performance align with OC EHS stands;
• Effectively lead the Environmental Health Safety program the workplace parties in an engaged environment while promoting environmental, health & safety as critical strategic business elements;
• Proven ability to lead Environmental Safety initiatives in a corporate structure as well as act as an effective company primary contact resource flocal provincial environmental occupational health & safety regulatory bodies consultation partners;
• Possess the experience motivation to lead key initiatives by example; promoting progress through such strategies as diversity, leadership development, process innovation, teamwork, empowerment creativity;
• Responsible to oversee facilitate loss control activities as they relate to security;
• Provide leadership fimplementing safety programs in Guangzhou plant that fulfills Owens Corning’s’ Ston Safety in pursuit of a ZERO Injury target;
• He/she must have the ability to identify critical process system needs then implement appropriate action plans.
Metrics
• Establish proactive safety initiatives with proven impact
• Implement a personal safety action plan review progress with the plant leader
• Lead track plant progress against the SAFE Management SAFE Critical 6 goals.
2. Environmental Health Safety System improvements to exceed basic compliance standards.
• Strong background in management systems including OHSAS 18000 ISO 14000
• Participant regional/ local improvement activities ensure integration our progressive safety systems programs while driving fundamental compliance.
• Strong background in, occupational health safety, ergonomics, behavibased safety WSIB claims management all related legislations as well as environmental waste management, industrial hygiene.
• Quickly embrace the requirements of the OC EMS other environmental system components.
Metrics
• Establish corrective action plans from internal external system audit results execute on-time completion of the results
• Zero environmental non-conformance’s
3. Training communication
• Ensure Training needs are identified supported through the development of comprehensive compliance programs.
• Facilitate training delivery consistent with the Training, Awareness Competency Program
• Establish core skills in supervisors NLT members to lead safety training in their respective areas of responsibility

• Effective 100% monthly training per the environmental safety training matrix
• Legislative compliance
4. As EHS lead plant safety rep, leverage various audit processes data sources to determine opportunities fcontinuous improvement.
Metrics
• On time EHS data management
• Internal external audits
• Safety A3 development management – completion to plan
Job Requirements
Experience:
• 5-10 years of Environmental Health & Safety Leadership experience in manufacturing environment;
• At least bacheldegree in any field specific to Environmental Science, Engineering equivalent majors;
• Participate in the development successful implementation of strategic plans;
• Demonstrated high growth in previous experience;
• Demonstrated success in implementing best practices.
Knowledge Abilities:
• Certified Registered Safety Professional designation would be an asset.
