The Material Planner is responsible fthe formal planning execution of all tactical processes required to secure manage direct materials based on a forward looking production plan.
The role is responsible fcreating maintaining valid plans fthe requisition of the parts materials in the system of recording.
The material planner will be responsible fidentifying managing appropriate inventory levels to manage planning data through collaboration with the planning procurement.
Responsibility Summary
Supply Chain Planning Execution: Create, validate maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master Production Schedule.
Releases against the established commitment & contract fthe purpose of meeting the production & inventory schedules communicates this release to the supplier.
Ensure the right materials are released at the right time to minimize overall costs cash impact.
Partner with rest of Procurement Manufacturing fresolution of short-term supply/demimbalances fmaterials.
Execute inventory levels replenishment models fdependent independent demitems that are part of the finished good (direct materials).
Works closely with rest of Procurement team to ensure ‘strategic inventory reserves’ are being executed upon frisk mitigation Identify dispositions fslow moving inventories.
Leading process where required.
Communicate/escalate material supply problems resolutions to Sales & Operations Execution, Sales & Operation Planning teams Provides input to creates the mid to long term material plans.
Use supplier capacity information fplanning purposes fshort-term execution.

Actively lead participate in the continuous improvement of the material planning process.
Works actively with procurement to assist in supplier performance improvement.
