To support the continued growth sourcing expansion of Tex International Ltd.’s global supply chain, we are seeking an experienced highly motivated Head Merchandiser – Fabrics (Knits) to join TIL’s China office. This role is critical in building managing TIL’s fabric mill network, driving the R&D development process, ensuring seamless execution from sampling through to bulk delivery. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep textile industry knowledge in knits, strong supplier management experience, the ability to bridge commercial technical requirements across cross-functional teams. You will work closely with TIL sales, design, business development teams globally.

Areas of Responsibility:
• Identify, evaluate, onboard new fabric mills in accordance with company processes compliance standards.
• Ensure fabric mills fully understTILs R&D development processes, including timelines critical path management.
• Oversee the end-to-end fabric development process, from R&D initiation to bulk delivery execution.
• Partner with Sales Design teams to understfabric requirements translate them actionable development plans.
• Drive the R&D cycle with mills, ensuring developments are completed per agreed timelines season calendars.
• Proactively propose fabric selections to Sales Design teams based on mill capabilities market trends.
• Establish maintain a comprehensive fabric library feach mill, including physical swatches technical specifications.
• Build manage a centralized mill database, including supplier profiles, capability benchmarking, customer alignment.
• Define implement standardized ways of working with each mill, including sampling lead times follow-up systems.
• Negotiate establish terms of payment penalty clauses fdelayed deliveries.
• Implement open costing methodologies ensure full cost transparency across the supply chain.
• Monitmanage active developments openders, ensuring on-time delivery quality compliance.
• Develop maintain key tracking tools, including technical sheets quality control protocols.
• Coordinate with Sales Business Development teams to align ways of working ensure seamless communication.
• Plan lead visits to yarn, fabric, accessories fairs in China, identifying potential new suppliers.
• Follow the companys seasonal buying calendar ensure all fabric developments are completed on schedule.
• Prepare manage the showroom fabric display finternal client use.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree above in Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, Fashion Merchandising, a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in fabric sourcing, merchandising, supply chain management within the apparel textile industry.
• Proven track record of managing fabric mills supplier relationships, preferably across Asia.
• Deep technical knowledge of fabric construction, knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing, quality control standards.
• Strong understanding of R&D product development cycles in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience working with international buyers, high street retailers, e-tailers is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with sustainability standards certifications is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Excellent written verbal communication skills in both English Mandarin.
• Willing to travel frequently within China across Asia.
