About the role
As a SeniFrontend Engineer at NewsBang, you’ll design ship high-quality, cross-platform user experiences that directly drive growth. You will build production features across Web (React/TypeScript) mobile (Flutter and/native iOS/Android), turning ideas fast, reliable, delightful interfaces that improve acquisition, activation, engagement, retention. You’ll make thoughtful tradeoffs partner closely with Growth, Product, Design, Backend Engineering in a fast-paced, international environment.
What you’ll do
• Build, ship, own growth-oriented user experiences across Web Mobile (onboarding, notifications, share/referral flows, paywalls, SEO-driven web, in-app engagement).
• Develop Web (React/TypeScript) features at least one mobile track (Flutter native iOS/Android); establish reusable components design-system patterns.
• Measure iterate: instrument analytics, run experiments (A/B, feature flags), use data to guide product/UI decisions.
• Optimize fperformance, accessibility, reliability.
• Collaborate with PM/Design/Backend/Marketing to refine requirements, prototype quickly, lfeatures end-to-end.
• Uphold engineering excellence via code reviews, testing, CI/CD, strong UI quality bars (pixel accuracy, responsiveness, i18n).
• Contribute to a culture of experimentation continuous improvement.
Minimum qualifications
• 5+ years building production Web/mobile user interfaces at scale.
• Proficiency with React TypeScript fWeb.
• Production experience with Flutter native iOS/Android.
• Strong grasp of frontend architecture, component design, state management, UI testing (Jest/RTL, Flutter test, XCTest/Espresso).
• Familiarity with performance tooling accessibility.
• Experience integrating analytics/experimentation (e.g., GA4/Amplitude, feature flags), collaborating from Figma to pixel-perfect delivery.
• Effective communication in a cross-functional, international setting, ability to balance speed quality to move key metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science a related field, equivalent practical experience from 985/211 schools.
Nice to have
• Experience in backend development.
• Experience with React Native Next.js/SSR, PWAs, deep links, push integrations, WebView/native bridging.
• Priwork on growth surfaces (SEO, notifications, referrals, lifecycle messaging) comfort analyzing results with SQL/metrics.
• Ownership of design systems UI libraries; strong motion/animation craft.
• Exposure to AI/LLM features UI patterns (prompt UIs, RAG-powered surfaces).
• 0→1 product experience scaling to millions of users.
• Interest in news, information quality, high-trust content ecosystems.
