Global Procurement (GP) is accountable fthe strategic sourcing of Direct Materials, Tooling Equipment, needed fthe manufacturing assembly of Dyson products, securing the material readiness fproduct launches achieving the cost targets of the bills of material.
About the role
We are looking fa Global Commodity Manager who will be responsible fthe Global commodity procurement activities (end-to-end) fMechanical sub commodities.
• You will be the Dyson Global Commodity Expert both strategically operationally.
• Responsible fthe Global Commodity Strategy, ensuring it is implemented continuously evolving as well as being relevant to the Company Blueprint, Company technology roadmap, Global Mega trends market forces.
• The role will ensure adherence to the complete Global Commodity process (including, but not limited to, the RFQ finitial project development, transferred projects current projects) according to company policy the 5 rights approaches. (Right source/quality/cost/qty/time).
• Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) - Identify implement SRM development plans fall the suppliers within the commodity.
• Identify evaluate potential alternate suppliers globally, assessing their technical innovative capabilities, quality standards, cost competitiveness.
• Responsible fleading all negotiations fpricing, contracts SLA’s leadtime.
• Devising creative cost down opportunities with suppliers to maximise savings growth potential
• Organise, utilise lead both internal external resources to ensure the Global commodity objectives are achieved.
• Enhancing data insight of the commodity to proactively make strategic decisions to benefit the business.
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple functions particularly RDD on cost engineering design fcost.
• Manage the supply base to deliver sourcing on cost, on time, on spec on quality.
About you
• Business Engineering Degree level qualification above.
• Substantial experience in procurement/supply chain direct material sourcing.
• Has previously Managed Product Development various types of Commodities.
• Proficient negotiatwith proven abilities in influencing people at all levels in theganization.
• Good knowledge of legal regulations contract setting.
• Self-motivated, accurate operates with the highest ethical standards.
• Demonstrate understanding of technical, manufacturing testing methods processes relevant to the commodity.
• Thrives in ambiguity a faced paced environment
• Proven track record of proactive leadership of complex, global programs.
• Proven track record of successful Commodity Management.

What You Will Do
● Understlaws, regulations Albemarle Compliance Standards relevant to the routine purchase delivery of site materials services ensure full compliance.
● Drive compliance excellence. Enable a team culture that promotes full compliance, encourages questions aggressively works to mitigate potential compliance risks
● Translate site requirements actionable procurement strategies. Develop own the site procurement value creation strategies site procurement scoreboard.
● Insure there is clear alignment of category strategies performance metrics with GBU stakeholders site operations
● Apply a thorough understanding of the site’s spend profile, supplier base, market price drivers strategic sourcing framework to identify ongoing opportunities fcost reduction value creation.
● Routinely engage with site leadership to ensure an aligned understanding of operational expectations priorities, identify opportunities confirm action plans.
● Ensure clear expectations, aligned with the site’s procurement operations objectives, are established in team member’s job responsibilities.
● Actively network with other sites to share knowledge, identify potential leverage opportunities jointly pursue value adding programs

What You Bring
Required:
● 5-10 years + of indirect procurement/strategic sourcing/category management showing increasing growth responsibilities.
● Strong stakeholder engagement, partnering, ability to influence.
● Experience understanding of plant operation.
● Experience understanding category management frameworks.
● Interpersonal skills ability to partner with stakeholders multiple functional groups on projects/programs.
● High learning change agility.
● Continuous improvement mindset.
● Priority setting.
● Negotiation conflict management skills.
● Effectiveal written communications as well as conflict management.
● Extensive knowledge with Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI other advanced analytical tools; experience preferred in procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Jaggaer,acle).
● Familiarity with sourcing events savings methodologies preferred.
● Experience in Procurement spend data management sourcing/contracting tools a plus.
● Lean Change Management experience.
● Chinese English – Proficient to conduct external internal business.

Responsibilities:
• Manage strategic supplier relationship with existing suppliers, develop manage the core of the strategic suppliers to meet commodity costs performance goals.
• Supplier selection program implementation, optimizing the supply chain enhance the performance of the suppliers.
• Archive the target goal of the company in delivery, payment, the best interest on price of responsible material lead the business negotiation.
• Develop a new supply chain operation management program, lead the procurement function.
• Understalways updated the current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps identify supply/demchallenges.
• Lead the global procurement strategy to support the supply chain transformation cooperate with different internal departments including Finance, HR, IT other stakeholders foperational fulfillment functions across APAC to ensure Global consistency.
• Review existing procurement processes policies
• Collaborate with Customer Supply Chain Managers monitthe Key Performing Indicatfteam members ensure a smooth timely manufacturing ramp on new programs.
• Identify problems in current system. Implementation transformation fnew procurement systems
Requirement:
• 10 years procurement experience above with at least 5 years managerial position
• Bachelabove education background in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering related disciplines.
• Experience in cost saving
• Experience in building up a team from scratch
• Strong knowledge in procurement practice related to Electronic Manufacturing/ CNC sheet metal /Power tool Charger /Adaptors/Metal Stamping., etc industry.
• Knowledge in SAP, ERP system any other related SCM systems
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent in strategic planning,ganizing bargaining skills
• Strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal influencing skills
• Fluent in English, Mandarin any other language will be plus.
