Sonos is seeking a Embedded Software Developer to join the newly formed Diagnostics & System Team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible fsome of the core software firmware that will enable new innovative solutions fthe home businesses. In the process, you will work with some of the brightest minds across multiple disciplines of software, hardware, radio, acoustics, WiFi, Bluetooth technologies. What You’ll Do
1，Write clear, reliable, maintainable code
2，Decompose problems logical components that can be cleanly implemented efficiently executed in software
3，Design new features maximize the potential of existing technologies
4，Modify existing software to adapt it to new hardware, correct errors, upgrade interfaces improve performance
5，Debug complex low-level problems that may span interfaces between hardware software
6，Contribute to the suite of developer unit tests using GTEST
7，Collaborate with software engineers, PM, QA UX to design deliver unique, innovative new features that delight our customers

9，Participate in team process, using Agile methodologies to adapt continuously improve
10，Be able to debug issues on the factory/vendor/3rd party lab

Basic Qualifications:
1，Embedded system programming in C/C++
2，Knowledge of embedded Linux system architecture development environments
3，Knowledge of common communication interfaces at a hardware integration level (SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, USB, Bluetooth, etc)
4，Demonstrable experience in developing performance-critical SW in resource-constrained environments
5，Strong written verbal communication skills with experience articulating technical concepts in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
1，BS MS in EE, CS, Mathematics, related discipline, 4+ years of relevant experience
2，Technically inquisitive – must be able to take on new technical challenges learn new technical skills on-the-fly apply the knowledge to solve the issue at hand.
3，Knowledge of WiFi interfaces at a hardware integration level
4，Experience with embedded Linux real-time operating systems
5，Hands-on testing debugging of embedded systems in a laboratory environment
6，Solid track record of shipping reliable, extensible maintainable software.
7，In-depth understanding of modern embedded SW development processes including design, implementation, unit testing, continuous integration, version control etc.
8，Linux Kernel programming configuration
9，U-Boot programming configuration

11，Ability to work with people with different cultures backgrounds in different locations time zones

Tasks Responsibilities:
· Design, develop maintain professional quality software fsafety related industry.
· Responsible fdevelopment support of software in a development/optimization model.
· Experience in continuous integration, continuous deployment delivery in an Agile/Lean development environment.
· Work with defect tracking, source code control software release configuration management systems to ensure high-quality software releases
· Build in-depth understanding of existing electronic systems, work on trouble shooting of electronic products fwarranty quality issues.
· Develop in-depth analysis reports/presentations fcustomer claimed quality issues
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree above in electronic engineering, automation, software engineering, computer science equivalent.
· At least 6 years working experience in embedded software engineering in railway, automotive automation industry, familiarity with “V” model is a plus.
· Familiar with basic control interface: SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485 / 422 / 232, USB, etc. Familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP, MVB，LON is a plus.
· Proficiency in multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Unix other modern RTOS
· Proficiency in multiple compiled programming languages such as C/C++, Python, etc. Experience in API platform-level design.
· Proficiency with software development tools such as gcc, gdb, subversion, git, etc.
· Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis abilities.
· Previous software development experience in all stages of a release cycle (design, implement, test) with ability to cover multiple job roles.
· Fluent English both in writing, reading speaking. Good communication inter-personal skills to enable global cross-functional engagements.
· Hands on experience creating/maintaining design implementation documentation (fexample Code, other documentation)
· Better to have basic quality control knowledge
· In-depth understanding experience of EN 50126 EN 50128 EN 50129 is a strong plus.

Basic qualifications
Undergraduate in Computer Science, Software, Automation related fields
Experience in architecture design (architecture, design patterns, reliability scaling) of new current systems
Experience developing RESTful large scale distributed systems with high scalability availability requirement
Experience using frontend libraries/frameworks like React and/Angular Framework
Data Modeling experience fSQL NoSQL database systems,M Frameworks such as Hibernate, SQL Alchemy, etc.
Data Visualization experience using frameworks such as Highcharts, d3.js, etc
Experience with AWS Services, in particular Lambda, S3, RDS etc
Strong written verbal communication skills in Chinese English
Strong problem solving analytical abilities
Passion fbuilding a rich innovative user experience
Preferred qualifications
Graduate in Computer Science, Software, Automation related fields
Experience in AWS Cloud formation CloudWatch fIAC monitoring use cases
Experience in GenAI Agentic AI system development
