Hella's activities in China date back to the early 1980s. In 1982 the first Hella delegation visited China to jump-start Hella's involvement in China with license agreements signed. In 1996 Hella founded its first two Joint Ventures in China , in Changchun and Shanghai , to further develop the business in the Chinese market and show Hella's unwavering commitment to China . After ten years the Hella Group today has 9 companies with 1,800 employees in China to satisfy our customers' demands in this important market.
1982 First Hella-Delegation in China ;
1984-1991 Cooperation and License Agreement for Relays, Horns and Lighting;
1996 Foundation of first two JVs in Changchun and in Shanghai for Auto Lighting;
1999 Foundation of JV for truck market in Changchun and HCN (Trading) for the aftermarket in Shanghai ;
2002 Foundation of HCT in Changchun for Tooling; Foundation of JV HBL in Beijing for SOE;
2003 Foundation of HCDL in Changchun for Develop. Lighting; Foundation of JV BSL in Beijing for Auto Lighting with SamLip;
2004 Foundation of HSDE in Shanghai for Develop. Electronics; Foundation of JV HAE for Relays in Xiamen ; Foundation of HAIS;
2005-2006 Restructuring and re-organizing of Hella business in China : 100% Hella ownership of HCL and HSE; Merger of HCL with HCDL and HSE with HSDE.

1999: 在长春成立针对卡车市场的合资公司长春长海 ; 在上海成立针对售后市场的海拉贸易
2002: 在长春成立海拉模具中心 ; 在北京成立针对特殊原配套市场的合资公司北京海拉
2003: 在长春成立汽车灯具研发中心 ; 在北京成立针对汽车灯具的合资企业北京三立
2004: 在上海成立汽车电子研发中心 ; 在厦门成立合资公司海拉宏发电子 ; 上海成立海拉上海服务公司
2005-2006: 重组海拉在中国的业务 : 长春海拉和上海海拉电子实现独资；合并长春海拉和长春灯具研发中心；合并海拉电子和电子研发中心

海拉贸易（上海）有限公司作为在中国的独资贸易公司负责汽车零部件售后市场的销售与服务，并服务于客车、工程机械等特殊原配套客户。
