美药典标准研发技术服务（上海）有限公司是美国药典委员会设立于中华区的区域总部。美国药典委员会是目前国际公认*权威的药品、膳食补充剂及食品标准制定机构之一，目前已经制定并正式实施的药品、膳食补充剂及食品成分标准共计6700余项。这些标准在全球140多个国家和地区被广泛使用，其出版的《美国药典-国家处方集》在包括美国在内的多个国家和地区是法律强制执行的标准。
美国药典委员会与中国政府和行业经过多年合作，于2006年在上海浦东张江高科技园区设立了美国药典中华区总部办公室和实验室，并建成了美国药典委员会在全球的第叁个标准品研发中心实验室。 美国药典中华区总部为标准物质的开发提供支持，并提供专业的药典培训和技术辅导，协助区域内厂商和监管机构确保医药、膳食补充剂和食品成分的质量。
鉴于成立7年来公司的业务蓬勃发展和表现突出的业绩，美国药典委员会总部又投资建立了总面积达8800平方米的符合国际标准的研发实验室，地址位于浦东外高桥自贸区内。新大楼已于2014年1月落成，研发范围已从化学药品标准研究延伸到生物，微生物和食品成分等领域。

United States Pharmacopeia R&D and Technical Service (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of the United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP). As one of the most authoritative internationally recognized standard-setting bodies of medicines, dietary supplements and food ingredients, USP has developed and formally implemented over 6700 quality standards for medicines, dietary supplements and food ingredients. USP’s drug standards are enforceable in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration, and are developed and relied upon in more than 140 countries.
USP set up the USP-China office and laboratory facility in Shanghai’s Zhang Jiang Hi-Tech Park in 2006. The site supports USP Reference Standards development, provides trainings and technical support which assist manufacturers and regulatory agencies in ensuring the quality of medicines, dietary supplements, and food ingredients.
In view of the established seven years of the company's business flourish and outstanding performance, USP has invested to build new R&D laboratories in line with international standards with around 8,800 square meters in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone. The new facility has inaugurated in Jan 2014 and the range of R&D laboratories was extended from chemical standard research to other fields of biology, microbiology and food ingredients.
