The Assistant Finance Controller supports the Financial Controller in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls compliance across Trafigura China entities, while partnering with business stakeholders to drive financial transparency process excellence.
Knowledge, Skills Abilities
• 6+ years of relevant experience in accounting, controlling, external/internal auditing in foreign multi-national company environment;
• Knowledgeable about IFRS & PRC GAAP; knowledge of hedge accounting is a plus; CICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, HKICPA equivalent professional qualification preferred;
• Combination of Big 4 audit experience commercial finance experience in a multinational environment is highly preferred;
• Good commof bothal written English; Advanced excel skills with strong analytical financial modelling capability;
• Require good analytical problem solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment work under pressure;
• Good business sense, experience of commodity trading is a plus;
• Excellent communication team mindset;
• Oracle experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Review analyse financial statements under PRC, IFRS other applicable GAAPS; perform reconciliation between Mgt PnL accounting PnL; Ensure timely identification resolution of issues;
• Prepare financial disclosures reporting packages, ensuring completeness, accuracy timely submission in accordance with reporting requirements;
• Serve as the accounting business partner key finance contact fassigned entities technical accounting matters;
• Support accounting month-end closing activities ensure compliance with accounting policies appropriate accounting treatments;
• Coordinate manage relationships with internal external auditors to ensure efficient audit execution;
• Participate in finance transformation system enhancement initiatives, including ERP reporting process improvements;
• Ensure compliance with Trafigura internal control policies ensure an effective control environment;
• Complete ad-hoc tasks required by the management support fmanagement decision-making initiatives.
