ABOUT NORD ANGLIA SCHOOL NANTONG (NAS Nantong)

Opening in September 2019, NAS Nantong bilingual school will provide a state of the art, world- teaching and learning environment with a total student capacity of 1,728. Providing a unique blended learning experience, NAS Nantong will offer students the best of eastern and western education resources and philosophies for students aged 6 - 18. The bilingual programme will be based on the Chinese K-12 curriculum blended with globally respected international teaching pedagogy and education resources. Students will experience a solid foundation of Chinese culture, whilst equipping them with the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in an increasingly globalised world.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, it shares resources and knowledge with 56 other schools around the world. The Global Campus will connect NAS Nantong students with other Nord Anglia Education schools based in 27 different countries worldwide. Students will be able to extend their international experience through opportunities to learn abroad, to connect with more than 53,000 students through the innovative online platform and to take advantage of exciting experiences and expeditions.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be an effective professional who will deliver the vision and ethos of the school which is centered on learning in a multilingual environment through a blended curriculum, offering students an international mindset whilst still nurturing pride and respect for their own culture and traditions.
We will look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are ed to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where students feel confident to be socially, academically and personally ambitious. You will foster an environment of respect within the room, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion. You will be a collaborative practitioner and one that enjoys the benefits of working in a bilingual setting where innovative lesson design and team teaching is encouraged.


JOB DUTIES
1. To motivate confidence of students and build up trust among colleagues
2. To work closely with colleagues during teaching activities and adapt flexibly into multi-language environment
3. To demonstrate team spirit through teaching activities and constantly motivate passion for learning among students
4. To demonstrate fair analytical skills and explore new teaching methods for expanded learning experiences
5. Continued self-learning for professional and teaching skill enhancement
6. To promote and advocate school’s values within local and international community


REQUIREMENTS
Qualified teacher with relevant international certificates and credentials
2+ Years of PQE+ Experience
Significant knowledge and experience of teaching IB courses
Experience of working with Management teams
Good communication skills
Good teamwork skills
