Company manufactures various high-performance polymers globally to support the growing market in Asia-Pacific region. The PVDF product lines generate high margin in Asia are expected to grow in the coming years by membrane, semi-conduct biopharma by innovative solution providing. The Business Development Engineer is based in company Shanghai office main mission is to develop new business in traditional membrane market dig semi-conduct & bio-pharma markets by introducing diversified solutions.
1) Products: Mainly PVDF product lines
2) Market: 60% in water membrane (Plus Kyblock E-spinning applications) 40% on semi-conduct& Bio-pharma (market breakthrough by diversified solutions)
3) Area: Greater China
4) Interaction: R&D team in China, sales team, Asia/Global membrane CPI team, customers, OEMs
ACTIVITIES
Main missions of the job holder are:
-Development new business/solution through strong technical knowledge in water treatment key accounts like Dupont Omex, Supratec etc, reach NBD goals with sales team
-Well position company in China semi-conductbio-pharma market; identify promote solutions with global team (focus on membrane CPI grades)
Business Development activities
- Prepare business development plan fthree markets by close communication with global market manager China team implement the milestone.
- Visit key accounts (Dupont Omex, Cobetter, SMIC etc…) regularly learn their demands. Develop key partnership with these key accounts.
- Approach raw materials/equipment manufactures to learn technical trend, collect updated market/competitinformation, share with relative global team. Collect competitors’ samples to R&D team.
-Present in conference tradeshow related to these markets, promote company solution image
- Approach to EPCs
- Set up local benchmarks test capabilities with CRDC
Reporting activities
Write concisely timely visit reports & diffuse them to related team by using sales force
Input detailed idea proposal using related database
Provide monthly report activity to direct Manager market groups

- High Performance Polymers Business Unit is one of the majDepartments of company; it holds Worldwide Leader positions with several of its product range in several markets.
- Environment control is more important in Great China, low VOC coating water treatment are booming
- Company strategy to Aquatec/powder coating/membrane grades to different applications
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge: Master’s degree plus in Material Science Engineering Polymer, Fluent in Chinese English, French speaking is prefer. Office IT tool. Knowledge of polymer on water membrane (Fluoropolymer experience is preferred);
Know how: Ability fteamwork. Ability to work in multi-cultural & multifunctional team. Ability fbusiness networking. Presentation skill in both academic business settings is essential. Good communication skills with local overseas teams, with clients. Good key accounts management experience.

Experience:
> 3 years working experience with min 1 years in Business/Market Development Technical Support
