Responsibilities:
• Ensure implementation of EHS programs procedures which are in line with GE Vernova local regulation requirements on EHS management.
• Ensure the robust key EHS Framework elements (like Fire Prevention/SRA/High Risk operations/Lockout Tagout/ContractSafety etc.) control systems in place effectively
• Drive EHS regulation compliance with china code
• Coordinate with production engineering professionals on the introduction modification engineering process, track report on conditions to site EHS manager.
• Reinforce the regular supervisscorecard review mechanism provide related metrics at site safety committee
• Ensure all work required safety devices PPEs are functionally in place.
• Ensure all site personnel are provided with adequate safety training with necessary certificates required by GE Vernova local authorities.
• Coordinate Injury & Illness cases investigation monitprograms freduction of injury rate. Accident Reporting, Investigation follow up.
• Drive inspections housekeeping program, ensure findings identified, tracked closed within business timeframe.
• Proactively lead engaged in EHS improvement projects fmajsafety mitigation tasks (e.g. machine guarding, fall protection, lifting safety, noise control, fume exhaust collection, confine space entry controls)
Requirement:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Occupational Safety health field equivalent EHS experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in heavy manufacturing (welding, machining, Painting) preferred
• Goodal written English skills
• Adequate dedicated time on the shop floor, ability to communicate with operators
• Demonstrated leadership skills to make accelerate changes in safe manner embrace positive safety culture
• Problem solving skills - able to lead team to determine root cause develop practical solutions
• Willing to immediately stop production and/any unsafe acts witnessed on site
• Openness in reporting issues encouraging others to report
• Perform other duties as assigned by EHS manager
