Job Responsibility:Manage packaging projects effectively and professionally to with key business objectives and ensure product launches are met.Process owner for packaging qualification: will set requirements for when to create new or modify existing packaging part #. Works with Marketing, Sales, Quality, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to assure packaging meets all defined requirements. Work with US Packaging team and Packaging suppliers to recommend and select appropriate packaging for custom products. Analyze trends in packaging utilization and performance, to be the primary resource to define conflict, present clear analysis of issue(s) and recommend optimum solution(s). Collaborates with packaging, sourcing, manufacturing, and engineering to identify, design, and implement packaging related cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives Develop and maintain current and accurate packaging specifications database; containing materials, costs, supplier information and any relevant data regarding the package. Support functional team on packaging RFQ and sampling.




Organization: (Accountability, Supervisory Responsibility) Accountable for all sourced goods’ packaging qualification and packaging supplier identification.Impacts sourcing commercial decisions by packaging development and cost opportunities.


Experience/Education: BS in Packaging Science, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineer, with 5+ years of experience in developing consumer products, or functional packaging from concept through commercialization and/or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Material processing knowledge in: converting, die-cutting, stamping, extrusion, injection molding and blow molding. Proven project management and leadership capabilities; high sense of urgency and accountability. Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin, PC skills include both business systems (i.e. Microsoft Office) and CAD system design.Packaging engineering degree required.Experience in graphic production processes
