Control Union is an international group of companies. Our speciality lies in independent international cargo surveying and super-intending. We offer numerous inspection and laboratory services around the world, but that was not always the case.
Control Union was established with four European partners who were active in the agricultural sector. Within a few years, we were able to acquire full ownership. As a privately owned group, Control Union expanded its network by developing a thorough knowledge of commodities, its markets and specific client requirements.
Expanding beyond Europe
With increased knowledge, a firm set of values and sustainable services, Control Union made its next move and spread out throughout Europe. From Europe, services were expanded worldwide to serve the globalisation of the commodities markets. Control Union now offers its quality inspection and laboratory services in more than 60 countries worldwide; and Control Union certificates are accepted in just about every country.
Keeping it ‘real’
It’s true, we have grown from our early days in the Dutch agricultural sector. However, we continue to focus on customer satisfaction, entrepreneurship, expertise and fun in business. We treat our customers with respect and keep our eyes open for new business opportunities. We have a worldwide network of experts that we can call on to give reliable, scientific advice. Above all, we still remember what it’s like to have fun and therefore we enjoy watching our business grow. And we just have to smile when we look back and see how far we have come since 1920.
