Company name was changed to Hanon Systems from Halla Visteon Climate Control in 2015 in line with majority ownership transfer, following the previous change from Halla Climate Control in 2013 triggered by the business integration of 18 operations into the company.

A majority of the growth has been underpinned by a series of gradual acquisitions (M&As) across the world from Visteon (US auto parts supplier, former majority shareholder spun off from Ford Motor Company) over the year 2006 - 2013, which is a very successful case as a benchmark to many Korean companies of ensuing sustainable growth fueled by inorganic growth strategy to lead to organic growth in turn.
