Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has joined forces with Haimen Municipal Government to establish the HKBU (Haimen) Institute of Science and Technology (IST) in Linjiang New District of Haimen, Jiangsu Province. This IST project will focus on the research of Chinese medicine and new materials with the aim of transforming research results for practical use. Three Building Blocks of the Institute have been constructed and will be under renovation very soon. The IST will also offer research programmes in related disciplines and other taught postgraduate programmes in fulfillment of its long-term commitment to nurture world- talents.
