Mar-Bal Incorporated, founded by Jim Balogh and headquartered in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA is a family company for over 44 years. Mar-Bal is a compounder and molder of thermoset composite products. Since 1970, Mar-Bal has engineered and manufactured quality, customized materials and parts in its own portfolio of manufacturing facilities around the U.S. and overseas. Mar-Bal serves the appliance, electrical, transportation and industrial marketplaces from its four facilities in North America directly to major companies in all regions of North America. Mar-Bal, while a medium d corporation, it has a strong customer base and is a top three manufacturer in key product categories.
Mar-Bal, an ISO 9001:2008 registered company, has a portfolio of brands and proprietary products, and continues to develop innovative products while maintaining a commitment to client satisfaction and total value. The entrepreneurial spirit continues at Mar-Bal under the leadership of the second-generation-Balogh family. Scott and Steven Balogh joined their father’s company in the early/mid-1990’s and began growing the business through customer collaboration, engineering design and investments in innovation. The investment continued in the last ten years with the addition of a new equipment, manufacturing capability in China, growth in international sales, and acquisitions of local U.S. competitors. In 2007, Mar-Bal opened a Research and Development Technical Center in Chagrin Falls that enables the company to focus deeper in providing their customers with thermoset composite solutions – part design, specialized material formulations and customized automation.
Mar-Bal Industrial Components (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was founded in 2012, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mar-Bal Inc., responsible for Mar-Bal products sales and technical services in Asia Pacific area.
